What books are inmates allowed to receive?
Soft-back reading materials mailed directly from the publisher or distributor that do not violate the content regulations of the facility. Content regulations include: excessive size or any item containing contents that would threaten the jail safety and security (i.e, pornographic material, tattooing material, gang related material, weapon or bomb making manuals, martial arts or defensive tactics manuals).

How do I find out the results of court proceedings for my friend or family member?
The inmate should be your first point of contact. Please wait until they contact you. If further assistance is needed, you may contact the facility directly and speak with Records personnel.

How do I find out an inmate's release date?
Release information is not given to the general public. Inmates are notified of their release dates and are responsible for notifying their friends or family in regards to release plans.
Property
How do I drop off court clothing for a friend or family member?
We no longer accept court clothes. Clothing for court is provided by Riverside Regional Jail.
How do I pick up property?
The inmate is responsible for filling out the appropriate property request forms and submitting them to the Property department for approval before any items can be picked up at the jail. Once approved, the property can be picked up by appointment only at the Lobby of the main jail facility, Monday, Wednesday, or Friday between the hours of 8:00 am – 12:00 pm or 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm, excluding holidays. The only items that will be released will be keys and bank cards (ATM, EBT, Credit/Debit) and only within the first 15 days of confinement. After the first 15 days of confinement, the inmate will have to mail out these items. Please contact the property department (ext. 6087) to set up an appointment.
Funds
How do I send money to an inmate?
You may send money online using your credit card via our commissary portal, or by using cash and/or credit card at the jail using the touchscreen kiosks located in the Lobby.
You may also send money by obtaining a money order or other form of certified funds. These funds may be delivered via mail or brought to the jail’s lobby personnel Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 9:30 pm, or Saturday & Sunday 8:00 am – 9:30 pm. All funds must be made payable to the inmate’s name in care of Riverside Regional Jail with the inmate’s jail assigned identification number.

Do you offer a "Scared Straight" program for teenagers?
We do not offer any programs like that.
