Position Type: Part-Time Civilian
Hours: Fifteen (15) per week evenings and nights
Compensation: $17.00 per hour / no benefits
The Riverside Regional Jail is seeking Part-Time Civilian Transportation Personnel to provide transportation for Inmates currently participating on the work release program. These Inmates are minimum custody and are currently employed in the local area. Duties include (but are not limited to): Transporting work release participants to and from Riverside Regional Jails Pre- release building to businesses in the local area according to approved work schedules. Minimum qualifications: Ability to operate a standard 15 passenger van. Applicants must possess either a high school diploma or G.E.D. and a valid Virginia state driver’s license; must be a United States citizen and at least 18 years of age; must be able to work all times of the day to include weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts; must not have been convicted of, or plead “guilty” or “no contest” to any felony, or any offense that would be classified as a felony if committed in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Prior correctional / security experience with a public, private, or military agency preferred but not required.
